Blog of Note: The Pure Journey

Hello my beautiful naturalistas! Meet Chelsyea. A dear and sweet friend of mine. She is not a stranger to this blog either! She has been featured here, here and here.

I am so pleased to present to you yet ANOTHER Natural Apostolic Blog!! Read below to find out what you will see on Chels's blog!

1. How long have you been natural?
The last time I relaxed my hair was at the end of Aug. 2010 and I've been natural ever since. I'm no longer at the transitioning state since my hair is basically at full natural state.

2. What inspired you to start a blog?
I'm super excited that I'm actually starting this (took a while) after several encouragements from Sis. Kendra Thaler.

3. Why have you made the decision not to cut/trim your hair?
I've decided to not cut/trim my hair because it's against the word of God. I got my conviction from the Lord as I seeked for more of Him plus I never liked when my hair was relaxed and it got cut/trimmed.

4. Why is natural hair beautiful to you?

Natural hair is so beautiful to me because of the body that it has (especially when it's worn out) and it's what God gave me so I've learned to appreciate it. Yes, relaxed hair can have body but it's always cut for that and it's not the same.

5. What can we expect to see on your blog?

The readers can expect to be encouraged through the Word, see some hairstyles that I've done/tried, and see special posts from the readers themselves. The goal is to promote purity in every sense of the word, in mind, spirit and body until we put on immortality and also to celebrate Christianity (how much fun it is). God is not boring so life as a Christian definitely shouldn't be portrayed as so.
